Hands-On Cooking Classes and French Specialty Cooking School

We offer cooking courses every day of the week.
                              

Auberge de Seattle event space offers a truly unique experience for Private and Corporate Events such as Team Building Cooking Classes, Birthday and Holiday Parties, Weddings, Rehearsal Dinners, Fundraisers and Cooking Classes to name a few. Our exquisite culinary cuisine is a spacious open concept design, with gas stove top burners; surround chopping block and extensive clean white Corian countertops.  The cooking class kitchen is designed for easy flow of movement between the Chef and the student chefs.  Floor is radiant heated artisan tiles, and the ceiling is 12 ft. throughout.  The decor is French Country with one of a kind European antiques the perfect backdrop to highlight your special event.  We play French music as we are promoting the total French cultural experience where you can experience the French Joie de Vivre without having to fly away to France.

A typical cooking class is equal part culinary experience and social occasion with a long enjoyable sit down meal

 

All of our classes are held within L'Auberge at The Edge of Seattle Inn in Woodinville, WA.

Our gourmet class sessions are open to the public by appointment only and can also be booked by groups looking for morale/team building opportunities.
Our method of teaching is "Hands-On".  We do not believe in the demonstration method, so plan on doing the cooking.  The movement flow is open, you may walk around and see at any time what others are doing and even join them in what they are doing too.  We strongly feel that unless you do it, you won't feel comfortable repeating the task at home.  There are no hidden tricks...our goal is for you to take the recipes home with you and to reproduce the menu at home

Signing up using our scheduler "Book Now" button is necessary to attend a class and does not require payment. Once the class quorum is met, an automated reminder notice will be sent by our scheduler 24 hrs. a head of class.

This evening will be complete with fine china,
crystal, linen, sterling silver settings making this a

is dressy casual.  We do not recommend shorts,
bermudas, sweats or jeans or flip-flops

Our wine guideline:  We do not have a liquor license.  If you drink wine, we recommend to bring one bottle of wine per person attending the class to drink and share with the others who have brought wine. If you don’t bring wine, we cannot serve you wine. It’s simple. We do not feel that it is fair to the guests who have brought wine, for you to drink their wine. We send out more than one reminder and also an email confirmation before the class where we suggest for those who drink wine to bring wine. There is no hidden agenda. We want you to have a good time, that's the bottom line!  We want you to have a full French experience.  We do not sell wine at this time, nor can we bundle and give it away with the class as that would be construed as selling it.

This is strictly an option for those who want the full French cultural experience, where everyone enjoys alcohol before and during a meal.  This is called the Gastronomic Meal of the French…where you have an aperitif before the meal, we do this while everyone is cooking, we share the best wines that the guests have brought for the sit down dinner portion. Sometimes people bring after dinners wines and we share those too with dessert. Our objective is to give you a glimpse of the way of life in France.  Voila the French joie de vivre!
